the switch is in the pad on steering wheel, the relay is located in the under dash relay box . do not forget to ck fuses

most auto part stores - advance, auto zone, orielys etc will do free scans, the key trick - on off is convenient BUT wil not show all codes s a scan is always advised. Google " jeep engine code you tube" a tutorial may help in the future. A tip - codes NEVER say a part is bad...

I agree with pulling head now - those compression readings were NFG. I am such an optimist always wanting easy fix. FYI: swapping inj would not confirm #1 is not leaking due to a wiring issue ie grounded driver side . Fuel pressure drop test KOEO.

removing head - replacing engine sounds like a leap without testing.... Compression test, wet an dry, do you have shop air for a leak down test? A leaking inj will cause low compression, wet plug, misfire. TEST FIRST! GTG
