4 cylinder swap to 6 cylinder

I hate to be a curmudgeon - it may be a good idea to check emissions laws - engine swaps are problematic in some areas.

Fair priced mechanic work near Manning

Sorry I am not in SC... Want to get yu some info - not always a major expense but we need to diagnose it. IS vehicle STOCK - not lifted , no over over size tires, then I would feel comfortable with a common alignment shop, many (at least here) will do free checks - get some estimates...

    4.7l v8 cylinder heads

Be sure to use a scanner - do not solely rely on key on off trick or the light being on for all codes. I would check fuel pressure. After those easy tests i would look at live data ECT, MAP, FT;s, o2 voltages.

    Faulty ballast resistor?

fuel from pump? with a carb ok - FI mist have PSI checked. I agree That is a lot of voltage drop, and your past readings of 9v seams to condemn ballast. My only thought is I do not remember a ballast failing higher often going open - but a 6$ part and testing vs R&R just get one. for...

Flapper where you put gas in fell down into the hose 02 grand

MY mental picture is I doubt its the 'anti siphon' flap. Is your CEL on ? Description sounds like vent valve issue. Suggest you scan system even if light is off.

testing for clogged cat- 1) a exhaust back pressure gauge, you just install in place of a o2 sensor for testing, often a loaner tool but not expensive. 2) Using a vacuum gauge - raise and hold RPM to @1500 observe reading the vac should hold steady f it starts o drop suspect...

    Engine stall

some things to look at Always easy simple first. Not consuming fluids, coolant, trans ? Air fliter on or off is same? how did old plugs look - wet, dry, black tan? The Vac dropping hints at an exhaust restriction - gradual vac drop at steady throttle @1500. The choke plate is full open...

High Idle 3000 to 4500 rpms

High Idle 3000 to 4500 rpms

knee jerk answer- there is a vacuum leak. PCV/CCV, brake booster va lnes? try the old school carb spray trick to locate vac leak - intak manifold? tell us which eng. 2.5 4.0 ? Why new manifold? THe system would have a code SO a scan would be a start - even if light is off post codes
