It's an automatic and it doesn't idle high at all.

I'm a newbie. Only had my Jeep about a year. recently, my Jeep has these unexpected lunges in acceleration when I'm sitting idle at a stop light or slowing into a parking spot. My foot is usually on the brake when it happens and it only does it when I'm slowing down or idle. Any suggestions...
