    I have used washers as shims at the top between the windshield frame and the roll bar supports to change the windshield angle a little to close the gap.

    As far as I know nobody makes "thick" gears for the D30. The D30 high pinion case break is between 3.54/3.73. steady.foot the way you measured the case is not correct.     can i swap this motor?

    I wonder if a 1972 engine would be allowed in a 1984 chassis as far as CA emission tests go. If in the odd chance it is, you would most likely need to regear the axles because the Datsun engine makes its power at a much different RPM range than the 258 did.
