YJ Termostat

Hey how hot does your YJ run mine sits exactly between 100 and 210, and im a little cold in the snow. If that is the right temp any ideas on getting a little more heat out?

200-210 is pretty normal. 100 is low if it stays there.

If your heater blows straight toward the shifter like my '88 did, consider getting the plastic duct from the dealer for a newer YJ, like '95. It will direct it into each floorboard and spreads the heat much better. It's in the pic below, minus the round tube.

that is a pretty low temp. if i had to guess i'd say that you have a low temp thermostat in there, probably in the 140 range. pull that out and drop in a 180 and you'll see a big difference. real low cost and easy to do too. (about $8 )
