Tach Wiring

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site and it is great. I have a question about the CJ-5 I'm rewiring. The tach is a factory tach with the 4 wires (2 big red ones) and my question is, which red wire is the power, and which is the wire from the coil? It might not even matter, but I thought someone out there would know better than I would.

Orange = dash lights
Black = ground
Solid Red = 12v
Red with white tracer = coil pick-up to the neg side

Merlin, both of my wired are solid red coming out of the tach. Does it matter which one goes where?

are one of your red wires a thicker gauge than the other. If so run the thicker one to the 12V.

No, they are both exactly the same gauge and color. The tach wasn't hooked up when we bought it.
