Jeep Door Leak

So hello every buddy. I'm new to the party. Purchased a 2007 JK last week and now realize that my driver side door is goof to leak in the rain. I've found no remedy. Please tell me I was looking in the wrong place for answers and there is some sort of fix for this? I still love the jeep and getting a little wet will not change how I feel.

Thanks!

both doors on my 87 leak. and that is with new door seals

I occasionally have drivers side leakage issues in my TJ. It's hard to figure out where it's coming from. Seems to always be right around the pedals.

Hardtop or soft top?. There's a difference on how to address the leak when repairing a water leak on a hardtop and a soft top. There's a seal kit for hardtops you can purchase from a dealer to repair it and if it's a soft top, you dont use the entire kit.

You can flex the soft door frame to bow out slightly...this should make the top of the door fight tighter to the softtop...just use your hands to gently shape it.

For winter time on my hard doors I get the widest and thickest self stick weatherstriping I can get from Lowes and wrap all the way around the door just inside the door seal and I fill in the gap between the winshiels and dash ... and I dont get leaks ... summer time never put doors on or top for that matter.

Try this procedure. This should address the water leak issue. It's in PDF , just click on the link.

you can buy new weather stripping a Quadratec. I have that problem with my Jeep now. I don't really mind it because I have husky linners to stop it from getting to the carpet

My main concern is really the carpets getting wet and smelling awful. I did just buy what appear to be some pretty hefty and durable floor mats. It really only leaks and puddles when its stationary for a while. Once i get going the leaking stops. I'm thinking I might try weather stripping around the door frame to see if it slows it down.
