95 Jeep Wrangler autoshutdown relay

I have a problem with my 95 wrangler as follows:
The engine turns and only my seatbelt display appears and it will not start.
I wait 2 minutes with the key at the start/run position and I will hear the
autoshutdown relay click several times. The ignition will now display the check engine and shift arrow lights and will start and run normally.
I have checked and replaced the relay, coil, plug wires and oxygen sensor.
I am now tracing the wiring back but the engine should not start at all if a short. I wonder if it could be the ignition switch itself or the PCM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:(

Found some info that may prove to be helpful to you. This page refers to a problem with a 94 jeep cherokee, but i would imagine that the electrical and fuel supply systems are relatively similar since manufacturers save money using platform technology. Check it out. Best of luck.

I have read through the article you suggested and will turn my actions to test the suggested items. I appreciate your help and am glad I can find help among our jeep family. Thanks again!

I continued with troubleshooting this problem. I replaced the oxygen sensor and the crankshaft position sensor with no change in this situation. I am now down to the powertrain control module. After reviewing all the wiring and setups in my 95 wrangler I am leaning on pulling the engine and replacing with a small v6 with a carburator and msd ignition system.

After checking all the wiring and replacing some sensors I finally replaced the
PCM computer and all is working well. It was hard to find the replacement PCM
If you need this part goto A1Cardone for your part. This ends this problem.

The Pcm came ready to install. When you operate the jeep the computer will configurate the setup based on the engine sensors. This happens quickly but when you first start the jeep don't get upset if it runs rough. It will correct itself and run smoothly as I experienced. Good Luck.

dealer can't even get pre-programmed pcm's...you make sure you got no updates and crap?

Update on my 95 wrangler. It has been 4 months since I replaced the PCM and it runs good. Even gets better gas mileage.
