    2011 Grand Cherokee

Just wait until Fiat gets done with Jeep. Talk with someone who works(ed) for them. They are a ruthless bunch. Maybe you don't remember when they brought their product over in the 70's. Fix It Again Tony Look at what they have done to Case and New Holland. I'll but Deere stock! Expect to...

    Looking for link to pic

Minnesota law requires fender coverage. I put a 78 Wagoneer 44 narrowed 4" on the passenger side and resplinded the shaft. F150 hubs and disks to keep the 5x5.5 wheels. Got tired of busting shafts. End of problem. Hint: use the winch instead of the strap to pull out stuck buddies and the...

    Soft Top Life

Mine usually last 6-8 years. UV rays kill the windows and fabric. Park in the shade or garage and they will last longer.

    shackle reverse???

I went with a M.O.R.E. Very streetable and yes the axle doesn't fight the bump you are trying to go over. Tom Woods makes a fine driveshaft with extended travel and can help decide which is best. He set mine up fine and works great. Stands behind his product with fast service. Isn't a cheap...

    CJ leaf spring swap

No 79s did not have a 'track bar'. It may have had a sway bar. A traction bar is not the same as a track bar. A traction bar helps to eliminate wheel hop common with a spring over.

    CJ leaf spring swap

I've had HD Jeep springs. Trailmaster 4" that broke the frame at 3 spring perches. And now OME YJs with shackle reverse. The axle actually goes up and down. Great on the highway and pull the sway-bar disconnects and great on the trail. Go #1. !

    SOA Lift...

Please note that JP put the axle back after they got tired of it. How many folks followed their lead and learned just as they did? YJ OME springs give lots of drop. Sway bars front and rear w/ disconnects and shackle reverse make it streetable. 2" Body lift and 4" springs let you run 38s...

    cj5 help needed

You're right, the gas fill was originally under the backup light right side. Check to see if the fill pipe is on the left or right. They may have wrapped the body side panels with sheet steel and didn't get around to sawing the hole. Look inside the rear fender well. You might be better off...

    Steel or Fiberglass Tub??

Hey guys I see no mention of aluminum tubs. I got a Matkins tub with 1/4" thick sides. All you need is argon gas for your wirefeed. Mods and repairs are then easy. Steel rots period. Why do you think there are so many fiberglass tub manufacturers out there? A good tub will take alot...
