Rust

I have some pretty bad rust damage around my rear shouck mounts. I am afraid that a few more trips on these wonderful NY highways and they will snap off. Does anyone know of a pre-fabricated frame/shock mount repair kit? Something that has a shock mount welded to it that can be welded to the frame rail. If not any suggestions on the best repair without having to strip the whole thing down.

Thanks in advance,
Travis

I have a 97 TJ; have owned since Y2K and 19K on the odo; it sat IN THE GARAGE, for 18 solid months (incl 2 very bad winters; high road salt usage, lots of snow) because I was seriously hurt by a chainsaw kickback and being under Dr's orders 1st not to drive and then later I could only drive an auto trans for a while; my TJ is a 5 speed; when I pulled it out in April '09 I found that it was damn near rusted thru the frame at the driver rear wheel hump though the body is still in excellent shape so I wound up finding a replacement frame via CL and swapping frames--every nut bolt and clip from my 98 TJ got put onto a 99 TJ frame but not before I undercoated and POR 15'd the replacement frame!!!!

I guess I should have mentioned that my Jeep is an '89 YJ.........sorry

Try auto rust technicians.comhave. I have a 89 yj with the same issue, and I noticed from time to time that Morris 4x4 center.com has the kits slightly cheaper. I just don't have the mola but she's holding up well and waiting patiently

I did try Morris 4x4 and only saw repair kits for the leaf spring connection points. Maybe I am not seeing the correct part though. If you can give me a part number that would help..........again thanks for the help.
