Let me know in advance if you're coming to AZ so I can get my tools ready. I hate ta ruin perfectly good pieces and partses by having to rip em out instead of unbolting them.
Thanks Wylen, I have a long way to go but I'm tackling one obsticle at a time. I have a self imposed deadline of this spring but there's so much more to do. Seems I am always stopped, waiting for pay day for something. I'm all amp'd up with this little B and can hardly wait to get her out on...
I keep my little grandson PO'd by telling him I'm setting a trap for that fat old man Santa Claus cause he never brings me NUTHING. That's what I got this year too . . . nuthing. I can only DREAM of something as cool as THAT!!!
You owe your wife a fancy dinner out, dude, that's...
Sounds good but ONE THING . . . . I would pull those wheel spacers and chuck them off into the scrap bin ASAP. If the studs aren't backing out, the dang things are cracking on you. I ran a set out here on the desert and it was a constant battle with them, mine were 1" spacers and they really sucked.
I'm not sure what vehicle the PO took the saginaw from. It has 3/4 rodstock (cr steel) and I would continue with that. I can put the splices inside the tube on the inside and hide them there and splice at the knuckles below. I can get the rod cheaply and go from their. The carrier brgs are cheap...
PLease be safe tonite, designated drivers, what goes up must come down etc., watch out for drunk drivers, matter of fact tonite's the perfect nite to go Jeeping in the back country as it's a BLUE MOON.

Be safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!:bomb:
Yes, as you know the original came stright down to the box and ran along the chassis. I was thinking to run the shaft under the mount along the frame to about the same position of the stock box location, then knuckle and come up through the floor about the same path as stock. Instead of a...
:shock:WOW!!! what a BEAUTIFUL granddaughter!!!
I don't know much about granddaughters but I will say after SIX grandsons, it's always a thrilling and exciting event. Pretty soon she'll be Jeepin with gramps! CONGRATS!!!!
I just read on the net that the Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited 4dr and the military Jeeps are built in the Northern Park in Toledo. The Dodge Nitro and one other station wagon Jeep vehicle are built there as well. The old Willys factory is no longer being used.
I had a YJ once that seemed to engage but NOTHING. It turned out to be a VACUUM line. There's avacuum line runs for motor to TC to front axle that will lock the hubs. If it breaks or leaks, NOTHING. I ripped it out, plugged the holes and installed Posiloc's.
I prolly gonna be buying a brand spanking new vehicle in 6 mos. to a yr. I had a YJ built in Canada, aye, and my question for those in the know is:
Are the new JK's built in Toledo, Ohio just like their great-grandpappy Willys was? :???:
Wrangler is the one I would choose, just because they are a direct descendant of the Willys CJ.
I only have experiance with Jeep to 1995 which was the newest Jeep I have owned. I do have kinsmen that own an 06 TJ. I thought it was a great little Jeep.
That's ok about my shop because I'll be spending a lot of MY time now with the New Sony POS I got for Christmas:piratenanner:
Everybody's gonna want one, I'm sure.
