    Tires

I have not personally run them, but I have several friends that do and they all love them. I ran the predecessor and found THEY did well going forward or reverse but the side/side sucked (lateral hold) From having watched the Kevlars, they do no show that problem and they work well in all surfaces.

    EBC Yellow Stuff Brake Pads

I'm just curious, why did you not go with drilled and slotted rotors? Even as happy as you seem to be, the brakes would have been a little bit better yet.

    winch wiring

If you would like to KNOW what that feels like, (having a winch that won't work when you need it) take a few minutes and read the article at: Radical Hill This experience spells it out with a couple of twists you've never even considered.

    Need some advice...

For the best write up on the Death Wobble causes and cures, take a look at Death Wobble You'll find some things there you usually won't hear about to look for. BTW, your sway bar will have little or no affect on the DW problem. Pay attention to the part about aligning a lifted Jeep if yours is...

    winch wiring

One thing about wiring an electric winch to consider especially if you will be using it a lot or expect to have long pulls... throw the positive battery cable that comes with a new winch away. Replace it with a length of welding cable. The welding cable is created to carry large currents for a...

My rear end is out of whack!

This is hard to diagnose without seeing it, but you probably have a bent axle tube on the rear axle. That is the only thing that makes sense wearing the tire as evenly across the tread as the pics show. Flat towing it many miles would make this even more likely. The tire in question would...

I see you are new to 4 wheeling or Jeeping. Welcome to the most fun you may ever find. Although a majority of it is not exactly related to your particular questions, there is a source of good information for someone new to this insanity. Go to Jeep parts, Jeep Accessories, parts Jeep, build...

what is your favorite colorado wheeling spot?

Living in Grand Junction we are pretty spoiled. One hundred miles from Moab and Ouray and slightly over that to the central Colorado mountains make one just want to go Jeeping all the time. You guys have already mentioned some of the better ones in central Colorado: Spring Creek, Pearl Pass...

    Super death wobble

You either did not read some of the above posts or you weren't paying attention. Read the following about 5-times. If your steering and suspension are working properly, you CAN NOT have Death Wobble. If you suspect or if you know you have death wobble, one thing we recommend while checking...

    Hello from Colorado!

Welcome to Colorado you lucky dog. You will find that Colorado will take a backseat to nowhere when it comes to Jeep trails. Central and western CO have the challenge level you desire. For some ideas of where to go and what to expect there, take a look at On the Happy Trails It's still a...

    Super death wobble

Firestone may know tires but what they know about DW could be written in large type and stuck in your eye with nothing being felt. First, if your steering and suspension are working properly, you CANNOT experience DW. (read that over about three times) You could have all flat tires and...

    Opinions on this '97 wrangler?

Felipe, You are correct for the most part. It's the guy who has the size 75 big toe on his right foot that can make a four banger (or even a 6 or 8) turn to mush before it's time. They stand up to racing well... only for a time and then they begin to lose power and smoke and... With the...

    Opinions on this '97 wrangler?

The cracked head thing he has backward. The water pump no doubt failed first. If you don't plan to do heavy Jeeping, the 4 cyl has some advantages. The main one will be mileage. The drawbacks would be if you want to pass someone or at higher altitudes. There you may have a lack of power...

    Whats the best lift kit?

If you want the top of the line lift for your rig, put a Teraflex lift under it. Teraflex builds tough and flexy lifts. The control arm joints have large bearing surfaces to go along with the ability to allow you suspension to twist and gyrate like you want it to in the rough stuff, yet you...

3.7 to 4.10 gears trying to understand ?

Whoa there a minute you guys. You're all putting the horse before the cart a bunch. First, we need to know what you plan to do. What size tires are you planning to run? That will tell you about your next step(s). Your tire size will dictate what gear ratio you want to run. Don't change a...
