YJ/TJ 1/2 door fitment

OK. I'm looking to put steel 1/2 doors on my LJ, (TJ) and I want to know if I can use YJ 1/2 doors. I have heard some (seen) discussion about changeing latches, strikers, etc, but I'd like to be able to interchange my full doors. Any accurate info would be appreciated. I have an '05 2 door LJ. Thanks.

well, you answered your own question I think. doors can interchange, change the latch.

changing between half doors and full doors is just that, take one off, and put on back on unless it is the latching mecanism your concerned about. best solution, look for 1/2 doors from a TJ 97-06.

The YJ 1/2 doors or full doors will physically fit on a LJ/TJ body. But the latch and striker plate/nader pin are different. So you just need to swap one or the other so all your doors have the same latch and striker. I run CJ7 hard doors on my TJ for trail use. There are some who say the windshield angle is different on a TJ/LJ but this is not true as far as door fitment is concerned.
