Sub & Stereo

So I am in the market to get a new stereo & maybe put a sub or two in my TJ. There are just so many options, I was just wondering if there were any that were recommended so I could save some time. Any links or recommendations are appreciated! Thanks ahead of time.

I will say this ahead of time, I'd prefer to keep at least some of my "trunk" but might be willing to sacrifice it if there is a great deal. :p

For a stereo, just go to Crutchfield and narrow down the stereo you want based on the available options. I ended up with a Pioneer because it had Ipod input, subwoofer out and MP3 playback.

For a subwoofer, you can do what I did and put it in the seat. Other than that you can get a single sub box that takes up half the trunk.

I have a JVC which sounds good.Options I looked for was Ipod attachment,Aux jack on the front, removable face plate, sub output.

You could yank the back seat out and put 2 12" Audiobahns in it. They sound amazing.

I am partial to Pioneer Premier and Alpine receivers. Avoid Clarion and Sony like the plague.

Because Sony has the worst sound possible IMHO
iI have 2 pioneer champions 10's in a custom ported enclosure i got off eBay for 100 bucks and a nice kennwood for 109 that does Ipod, Bluetooth, aux, XM, hd radio. its pretty nice kennwood has the best radios IMO.

Stock radio, Sony Explod speakers 5.25 front corner over the visors and 6.5 in the pods. And a Kenwood's KSC-SW1 under the rear seat.

I disagree; I am quite happy with my Sony... The sound quality will depend on how you set it up (cross over, EQ, etc.), but the units have very nice sound...
