oil in coolant?

While draining my radiator in preperation for replacing it I noticed what appears to be oil in the coolant. It has been running fine and it doesnt use an excessive amount of oil for a 92 4 banger with 84k miles. Any idea what this may be? Im expecting the worst, give it to me straight.

The only reason I know of for oil to meet coolant, is a crack in the block/head. I could be wrong, but that's all I can think of ?

Have you noticed anyother fluid levels low, or maybe oil pressure ?

Rob 8) :p :)

Oil pressure runs in the normal range, it uses a little bit of oil which I think is normal for the mileage. It has been running a little hot and the radiator is in bad shape. I decided to go with a 3 row radiator. Other than that, it seems to run fine. I think the total amount of oil in the rad was maybe a couple of tablespoons or less.

Maybe theres another possibility I should consider. I realized that I drained the radiator fluid into my oil drain pan..... Jeez.... Cast your votes now for dumba** of the year.

Those 2 should never mix! If they do/did, "that boy ain't right"
