I've been on this site for a while and have often wondered who "owns" this site and has the power to make changes on the ENTIRE site, and not just the message boards? I do NOT mean to offend anybody and I praise all that are involved with the maintainance of this website. You all have done a great job. I do have some suggestions that have already been mentioned before, and I truly feel that they will make this site 1000 times better than what it already is.
1. Let the members post pictures and writeups without having to go through a moderator in the "readers rides" and the "how-to-section". If the post or picture is inappropriate, then the site managers, or moderators can, and should edit or remove it. I know that the reason the site has not been kept up is because the people in charge are busy, and I understand that. That is why am suggesting this.-al
2. Updating the parts of the site more often than it already are.
3. Listening to members sugestions. Something as simple as taking a suggestion, posting a poll to see how many members support it, and then if there is enough demand, executing the idea.
4. The chat room, in my opinion, is totally outdated. We can possibly link our site to "Yahoo! chat" room where we can possibly create a permanent room for Jeepz.com . It does not have to be Yahoo!, it is just a suggestion, but it should be something better than what we have here.
5. The message boards should all have a "sticky post" with a compilation of FAQ's. e.g. FAQ on YJ's , FAQ on TJ , and so on.
6. Start up a Jeepz.com store. We could print out stickers, caps, and other such things and sell them in our own store. Proceeds could either be donated to a worthwhile organization, or used on ourselves.
I was in charge of a large organization (Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity) for several years, and I know it takes a lot of work to do all these things I have mentioned, but if it was easy, everybody would do it. I am more than willing to help out in anyway I can.
I'm sure I am missing a lot of things that other will bring up and I know that some of the things I have suggested may not be feasible, but maybe we can try really hard to improve this site. Again, I do not mean to offend anybody. I am simply excercising my voice as a Jeepz.com member.
