guage lights not working. HELP!!!!

Check the fuses.Is it only the dash lights or is the odometer dead also?

I know this sounds stupid but, did you turn the dimmer down next to the light switch?

On 'Black Betty' I had a similar problem on the Voltmeter and Oil Pressure, turned out the orange power line was poorly tapped to another device and continuity was broken. After resolving that, I found that, in an effort to rust proof my dash whith rustoleum when I had it removed, I failed to leave bare metal for grounding~I felt those proverbial donkey ears spring up~:redface:

thanks for all your help but nothing I tried worked.. I traced the wiring, checked the lightbulbs themselve,the only thing I havent done is check the actual light switch for any grounding out or wiered stuff. Im to the point where Im just gonna drive even tho I cant see how fast Im going but I can judge pretty damn well by my shifts.
