I posted earlier about advice on an 81 CJ7 that I had thought about buying. Well, I went and looked at this weekend and now I wanted to get some more advice....
While driving it, I noticed that the steering was loose, and when I got back with it, and looked a little closer, I noticed that the frame was cracked where the steering box is mounted. When you turn the wheel, so does the entire steering box.... obviously not good.
The guy is going to have it "fixed" (or welded) and said that he would come down on the price.
I wanted to get your input to see what you thought. I'm still not sure that I would be comfortable buying with a repaired frame, but just wanted to get a feel for everyone else's opinion!
