Ecm ?

I have an 86 CJ7 . It just started to have a "miss" I hear a click from the ECM and the enginge cuts out for a split second. Is the ECM going bad ? Can it be a loose connection?:???:

What engine do you have?, If it's a 304 V8, it's only got an ignition module and they don't click since it's enclosed with an aluminum housing and filled with a non conductive silicone. It's circuitry is all integrated circuits. Are you sure it's not a relay your hearing?.

I have a 4.2 inline 6. It may be a relay, but it clicks and the engine sputters instantly after.
