So I cant get the the light that shows its properly grounded to go on when im sure it is...since the amp is showing its not grounded is that why the sound doesnt work either?

Not that this is it, but check with an ohm meter between the ground wire and somewhere else on the frame. Many times the bolts that go through the floor are coated with anti-seize or some other weather protection. I ran into this on my CB antenna ground. Just because it is a metal bolt and frame doesn't mean it's connected electrically.

Good idea but ive tried it on other metal parts of the jeep also :x

Run a ground straight to the battery ground (-) ?? Just a thinkin'. If problem goes away, then is a bad connection in between (i.e. frame to tub ground) . Even a temporary "jumper" should do the trick.

if your mounting the ground to the floor or firewall grind off the paint for bar metal nothing will ground with paint between it

I'm with Bobcat. Run a temp line straight to the battery just to see if the amp is working correctly. You don't have to make it permament, just find out if the ground is indeed the problem.

It's hard to see but the light next to the power light is a ground light or a protect light?? If it's a protect light you do not want to see this come on. This light means your amp is shorted or not working properly. When lit you will not get any output. Did you have this lit at any point when operating it??
Check your fuse and you could disconnect the input from the source and listen for a static / click noise in the speakers. If you get this noise your source is not sending. If no noise it's time to check if the amp is blown.

i grounded my amp to bolt that bolts down the seat frame to the body of my jeep.... plus have my amp un der that seat as well. Since the groun d need sto be at max 3ft away from amp...
