brake line question

i'm going to swap the rear axle assy out of a 94 grand cherokee, the replacement axle had the main line cut at the rubber hose, it's crimped towards a metal hose that goes to a distribution block, how should i re connect this to the main body hose?

Duct Tape.















Or........... From what you describe, they just cut the factory rear brake line. You should be able to get a replacement for around $20, bleed the system and be fine.

The distribution block is part of the replacement brake hose, and is secured to the axle with the threaded axle vent.

really? so that distribution block "unscrews" from the axle? it looks like it was permanently mounted

You should be looking at something similar to this and yes, it is supposed to unbolt from the axle tube.

It does look like it. Disconnect both brake hardlines that run along the axle tube, disconnect the vent tube, and the vent neck unscrews from the axletube.
