2005 Rubicon RPM drop off when reving

When reving the engine by pedal or throttle body there is a drop off (almost stalls) at about 2600RPM. Seems to drive fine. Is there a rev limiter? Any thoughts on what air/ign/smog/electrical component could cause this?

Could be a flat spot on the TPS(Throttle position sensor).. The Rev limiter shouldn't kick on until you reach the red line on the tach.

Recently replaced the TPS. Just for information the vehicle has the following upgrades, Edge computer and throttle body, Banks Cold Air system, Banks Headers.

Don't know about your Jeep, but on my Dodge pickup, while in neutral or park with no load on the engine,it cuts out around 3000.When in gear and driving,it tachs out at 5600.

I belive I did try it without the computer and it did the same thing, guess I'll remove one thing at a time until I find it.
