my refurbished alloy rims

I know I'm digging up an old thread, but do you have any tips on refinishing these? I've got one of these exact same rims for my spare tire, and It looks pretty ratty. I'd like to refinish it.

I used a while wheel and sand paper than i painted them with rim paint from dupli-color
